The territory

A Paradise Between Sea and Mountain

The Colombian Caribbean is far more than beautiful white-sand beaches and crystal-clear water. It is a territory where the grandeur of the sea, the exuberance of the rainforest and the ancestral energy of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta — the highest coastal mountain range in the world — all converge. This unique region offers an extraordinary natural contrast: within a few kilometres you can go from swimming in turquoise water to walking through tropical forests and connecting with age-old Indigenous cultures.

At Cúspide Travel we have designed experiences that let you discover the many dimensions of this paradise, combining the enjoyment of its natural beauty with conscious practices that strengthen your connection with yourself and with the surroundings. Every route is planned to offer not only an outer journey through dreamlike landscapes, but also an inner journey of transformation and expanded awareness.

What you travel through

Essential places

Crystal-clear beach in Tayrona National Park

Tayrona National Park

A natural jewel where the Sierra Nevada meets the Caribbean Sea, creating a mosaic of ecosystems of extraordinary biodiversity. Our experiences include conscious walks along trails through tropical forest to paradisiacal beaches such as Cabo San Juan, La Piscina or Arrecifes. Every route is designed to include moments of silent contemplation, letting you connect deeply with the unique energy of this place, sacred to the Indigenous peoples of the Sierra.

Archaeological terraces of the Lost City in the Sierra Nevada

The Lost City (Teyuna)

An ancient city built by the Tayrona civilisation around 800 AD and made known to the Western world in 1972. The 4-5 day trek to reach this archaeological site is a transformative experience that goes far beyond the physical challenge. Our routes, led by local and Indigenous guides, include practices of presence and connection that let you appreciate not only the archaeological wonder, but also the ancestral wisdom that permeates every stone and every corner of this sacred place.

The Palomino River flowing down from the Sierra Nevada to the sea

Palomino

A small coastal village that has kept its essence despite growing tourism. Here you can experience the unique descent by tube down the Palomino River, from the Sierra Nevada to its mouth on the Caribbean Sea. Our experiences include this descent as a practice of conscious flow, in which the river becomes a metaphor for the journey of life. We also offer respectful encounters with Kogui and Arhuaco communities living in the foothills of the Sierra, learning from their deep connection with nature and their view of the world.

Waterfall in the rainforest of Minca

Minca

A mountain village in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, only 20 minutes from Santa Marta but in an entirely different setting. Its cool climate, waterfalls, coffee farms and extraordinary biodiversity make it a perfect destination for reconnecting with nature. Our experiences include walks to waterfalls such as Pozo Azul or Marinka, birdwatching (the region is home to more than 300 species), visits to ecological farms and spaces for contemplation and deep rest in accommodation carefully chosen for its commitment to sustainability.

Panoramic view of Taganga bay

Taganga

A traditional fishing village turned into a relaxed, bohemian destination, with a beautiful bay ringed by mountains. As well as its beach and distinctive atmosphere, Taganga is the gateway for snorkelling and diving trips in Tayrona National Park. Our experiences include conscious dives into the underwater world, where breathing and buoyancy become an aquatic meditation, letting you connect with marine life and experience weightlessness as a metaphor for inner freedom.

Sunset on the Santa Marta seafront looking over the bay

Santa Marta

Colombia's oldest city offers an interesting contrast between its colonial historic centre, its modern seafront and its urban beaches. Beyond conventional tourism, we invite you to discover the true essence of this city through walks in traditional neighbourhoods, local markets and alternative cultural spaces. Our experiences include encounters with local artists and cultural organisers, tastings of traditional food and moments of contemplation at outstanding viewpoints offering unique perspectives on the city and its natural surroundings.

Archaeological remains of Pueblito in the middle of the forest

Pueblito Chairama

An ancient Indigenous settlement inside Tayrona Park, less well known than the Lost City but equally impressive. The trail leading to these archaeological remains crosses several ecosystems and offers spectacular views. Our visits, led by local guides, combine learning about the Tayrona worldview with practices of presence and connection, creating an experience that goes beyond archaeological sightseeing to become a journey of inner discovery inspired by the ancestral wisdom of the place.

Bahía Concha beach with crystal-clear water

Bahía Concha

A beautiful white-sand beach with calm waters, in a quieter part of Tayrona Park. Its crescent shape surrounded by vegetation creates a perfect setting for relaxation and contemplation. Our visits include mindfulness practices by the sea, yoga sessions at sunrise and spaces for contemplative silence, drawing on the serene energy of this place to support states of presence and deep connection with the natural surroundings and with yourself.
